Much is being spoken of Talent Management these days. But is this just another name for Human Resource Management? Or is this it something different? The work of John W Boudreau and Peter Ramstad1 explains the concept of “Talents” as a “Decision Science” to “increase the success of the organization by improving decisions that depend on or impact talent resources”. Talentship, they suggest, is to Human Resource Management what Finance is to Accounting, and what Marketing is to Sales.
