HR Trends to Transform the Workplace

The Me Too, Black Lives Matter, and LGBT movements have brought diversity and inclusion (D&I) to the fore. And not before time. Although the gender pay gap has decreased in the UK, women still make 7.4% less per hour than male employees. And while the ethnicity pay gap in England and Wales has reduced to 2.3%, this statistic is oversimplistic and doesn’t show the full picture. Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) millennials are 47% more likely have zero-hours contracts, and 10% more likely to be doing a second job than their white peers. One insurer studied their pay data and found that ethnic minority employees earned almost 10% less per hour.
